SHOES & GEAR I LOVE!

In 2022, I began recommending a handful of shoes to my clients and watching their results skyrocket as a result. These shoes are thoroughly tested and vetted by the Hruska Clinic, which evaluates hundreds of shoes Each year and selects the top four.

A few notes before you run and buy the shoes:

  • If you are pain-Free You can probably skip this.

  • If you have pain that has been coming and going but never quite gone for good? Read on.

  • Do not feel the need to “break-in” the shoes.

  • If you put them on and they don’t feel pretty great immediately? Return them.

  • If you aren’t sure? Book a call with me and I’ll help you determine if they’re appropriate.

  • With that in mind, feel free to try more than one pair and simply return whichever feels less amazing since you now know this part should be obvious and you won’t break them in first.

  • some things you might notice when they ARE right for you:

    • A decrease in tension (in your back, your neck, your hip flexors, etc).

    • An improvement in sttability

    • While walking you might feel more relaxed and efficient.

    • You can feel: your heels (especially the left), your hamstrings, and your abs more easily (without clenching to do so).

THE 3 SHOES my clients love and thrive in

New balance 860 v13 - Good for average/Low arch individuals. I personally Find these shoes to be amazing if ever I have pain. While they aren’t my go-tos for physical activity like jumping rope or running, they absolutely help to resolve pain.

BROOKS Adrenaline 24 - Good for average/low arches. This is currently my go-to shoe for running and long days of walking.

New Balance 880 v13 (not v14) - Best for HIGH arches. Stock on the 880 v13 is low now that the v14 is out so grab them while you can! The v14 is not as good so do not order this instead.

The above links will take you to my amazon affiliated pages which will send two pennies to me for each purchase you make. However, find and buy them anywhere you like!

Other essentials:

  • Electrolytes

    • Trace Minerals

      • Whether it’s strenuous workouts or strenuous days at work, electrolytes are an essential component of your muscle function and, no, drinking more water alone is not the answer. This can actually flush the electrolytes you need out of your system. I love and recommend Trace Minerals to my clients because THEY WORK. No fluff, no flavors, just the essentials keeping you moving.

  • Portable workout goodies:

    • TRX Suspension Trainer: I recommend the TRX to all my clients because it is one of THE most portable options to help you maintain your exercise routine no matter where in the world you are. It hooks easily over doors, around trees, or fences in a park. And, it’s super durable! I’ve had mine for 4 years and it’s in perfect shape.

    • Ancore Cable System: The Ancore cable system—also portable for home or park workouts—allows you to do the kinds of cable exercises you normally can only do in the gym. Pretty neat, right?! AND, it’s easier to quantify and track your resistance since it actually has plates in 5lb increments. I’ve been using mine for 2 years and it is an asset to my home gym setup.

    • Pull Up Bar for door frame: I have this bar and used it with zero issues for years. DO use the pin on the back side of the door frame for safety and do not jump into your pull ups or you risk dislodging the bar from the door frame.

    • Exercise Ball: another great tool that can be easily broken down (deflated) and reinflated for travel.
